How reliable is the Solahart Solar Hot water system? Below, is an unsolicited email received by Solahart by a customer, Mr. And Mrs. Paul Loar. The Loar's installed their Solahart Hot Water system almost 30 years ago in the 1970's!
The customer said his Solahart system had survived "the ravages of three hurricanes"…. below are photographs of their solar system recently. Your system should be just as reliable.

Subject: Solahart vs. 3 Hurricanes
Sir, I found your e-mail address on the Solahart main web page and thought I'd write to tell you that my Solahart was installed on my roof in the late 1970s (I think) and that it has withstood the ravages of the 3 hurricanes that hit central Florida this past summer/fall. I am commonly out-of-state during those months and I was worried that the rooftop water heater would end up in my neighbor's pool. It didn't! My neighborhood suffered rather severe damage from the winds and my property sustained serious tree damage. Fortunately, my roof was undamaged. The Solahart is mounted on a flat roof on an angle iron framework and is unprotected from 3 sides. The west side is protected by the peak of a roof. When I returned to Florida, I merely turned on the water and resumed normal usage. No leaks and I had hot water right away. I can send you some e mail pics if you would like to have them? Might be useful for promotional use? Just let me know via return e mail. BTW, I am located in Winter Haven, FL.
Here is a photograph of the Loar's system.

And another photograph of the system almost 30 years after installation.
